Medley Wall Murals, Installed Panel by Panel

The short answer

We install wallpaper murals in Medley homes, including houses and manufactured homes. Success depends on measuring the wall before ordering, preparing a smooth, dry surface and aligning each numbered panel to the image, not just the edges.

A printed mural can turn a plain wall in a Medley home into a view: a tropical shoreline, a misty forest, a world map for a curious kid or a blown-up family photo. Medley is a small town about 3 miles west of our Hialeah shop, and many of its homes have compact rooms where a mural does double duty, adding personality while making the space feel bigger. The catch is that a mural is a one-shot product. It is printed to fit a single wall, and a sloppy measurement or a crooked first panel cannot be fixed by ordering another roll. Here is how we make sure it goes right.

Murals That Open Up Compact Rooms

Images with depth trick the eye. A path leading into trees, an ocean horizon or a view down a city street gives a small bedroom or living room a sense of distance it does not physically have. Flat, all-over patterns can feel busier in tight spaces, so for smaller Medley rooms we often suggest scenes with a clear background and foreground.

Placement within the room matters too. Putting the mural on the wall opposite the entry door gives the strongest effect, since it is the first thing you see. In a bedroom, the wall behind the bed is a natural choice; just remember the headboard will cover the lower portion.

Measuring Before You Click Order

Walls are rarely perfect rectangles. Ceilings sag, floors slope and corners lean. In manufactured homes, ceiling heights and wall widths can also differ from what a quick guess suggests. We measure each wall at several heights and widths and recommend adding a few inches of bleed on every side so we can trim to the real shape.

We also note what will interrupt the image: windows, doors, outlets, switches, thermostats and air vents. Knowing where they fall lets you shift the crop so a face or key detail is not lost behind a light switch.

  • Height measured at left, center and right
  • Width measured at top, middle and bottom
  • Bleed allowance added on all edges
  • Obstacles mapped against the image
  • Material type confirmed before ordering

Surface Prep for Different Wall Types

A smooth surface is essential, because broad areas of sky or water in a mural reveal every dent. Concrete-block houses often have plaster exterior walls with hairline cracks; we fill and sand them. Interior drywall gets fastener and seam repair.

Manufactured homes with vinyl-coated panels require extra steps: batten strips removed or filled, the glossy face scuffed, and a bonding primer applied so paste can grip. Over every wall type, a white wallcovering primer finishes the prep, keeping mural colors true and making future removal easier. Exterior walls are moisture-tested first, since the wet season from May through October can leave block damp.

Hanging the Panels

Panels are unpacked and laid out in numbered order to confirm the full image is there. We snap a plumb line and set the height of the first panel so the main subject sits where you planned. From there, each new panel is aligned to the image on the last one, which keeps lines continuous even when print edges vary slightly.

Air is smoothed out from the center toward the edges, seams are rolled gently, and excess at top and bottom is trimmed against a broad knife. Depending on the product, we either paste the wall, paste the panel, or work with a self-adhesive backing, always following the printer's instructions.

Care and Service Area

Let the mural cure for a few days before hanging anything over it. Keep the AC steady. Gentle wiping is fine on vinyl and many non-woven murals once dry; paper murals should be dusted only. If you close up the house for travel during hurricane season, set the thermostat rather than shutting it off.

We also install murals in Hialeah Gardens, Doral, Miami Lakes, Miami Springs and Sweetwater.

FAQ

Common questions

Can a mural go on a manufactured home wall?

Yes, after prep. Paneled walls need batten work, scuffing and a bonding primer before the mural is hung.

What if my wall has a window?

The window will cut out part of the image. We help you position the crop so important details stay visible.

How much bleed should I add?

Most printers suggest a few inches on each side. We measure your wall and recommend specific dimensions.

Can you install a mural I already bought?

Yes. Share the product details and wall size so we can confirm it will fit before installation day.

Will humidity damage my mural?

Indoor humidity controlled by AC is fine. The risk is moisture inside the wall, which is why we test before hanging.
