The short answer
We hang wallpaper in full rooms, bathrooms, ceilings and stairwells for Miami Springs homeowners. Every job starts with measuring and a wall assessment, followed by careful prep, priming and pattern matching suited to humid South Florida houses.
Miami Springs homeowners call us for full-room wallpaper, powder rooms, ceilings, stairwells and everything in between. Our shop in Hialeah is about 4 miles north of the city, so most of 33166 is a quick drive, and we can usually come out to measure on short notice. Papering an entire room is a different task from a single feature wall: corners, doors, windows and ceiling lines all have to line up with the pattern, and the house itself has to cooperate. In this corner of Miami-Dade County, that means planning around humidity, concrete-block construction and walls that may have been painted many times over the decades.
Rooms we paper most often in 33166
Powder rooms top the list. They are small, they get seen by every guest, and a bold paper turns them into a moment without overwhelming the rest of the house. Primary bedrooms follow, often with a quiet stripe or textured solid on all four walls. Dining rooms get traditional florals and scenic prints, and laundry rooms get washable vinyl in cheerful patterns.
We also paper ceilings, which can add surprising warmth to a flat, plain room, and the inside backs of built-in shelving, which is a small detail that changes the look of an entire wall.

Reading the walls before we hang
Many local houses were built with concrete-block exterior walls finished in plaster on the inside, while interior partitions are drywall. The two surfaces take primer differently and can show different moisture readings. We test both, look for hairline cracks that might open with seasonal movement, and check for old paint that may lift once wet paste is applied.
If walls have been painted with a high-gloss finish, they need sanding or a bonding primer. If old wallpaper is still hiding under paint, which happens often in older homes, it needs to come off. Hanging over it rarely ends well because the new paste can soften the layer underneath.
Pattern matching in a full room
Wrapping a pattern around four walls means it will eventually meet itself, and that last seam will not match. The skill is putting that mismatch somewhere you will not notice, usually above the entry door or in the corner hidden behind a tall cabinet. We plan the starting point before cutting anything.
Straight match, half-drop and random match papers each consume rolls differently, which is why we calculate quantities from your actual product, not just square footage. Large repeats can need noticeably more paper in a room with tall walls.
Working with the South Florida climate
The wet season runs roughly May through October, and afternoon thunderstorms push humidity indoors any time a door opens. We ask that the AC run steadily during installation and for a couple of days afterward so the paste dries at an even rate. Windows should stay closed, and ceiling fans can stay on low.
Hurricane season, from June 1 through November 30, sometimes forces us to reschedule. We would rather wait a few days than hang paper in a house that is about to lose power and cooling. The drier months from November into April are popular for whole-room projects.
Choosing a paper you can live with
Samples look different on a showroom board than they do under the strong, bright daylight that pours through Miami Springs windows in the afternoon. We encourage clients to tape a large sample to the actual wall and look at it in the morning, at midday and at night under lamps. Colors that read soft and warm indoors up north can look washed out here, while deep greens, inky blues and earthy terracotta tones often hold their character.
Think about maintenance, too. A kids' bathroom or a busy hallway needs a scrubbable surface. A formal dining room used a few times a month can carry a delicate printed paper or a metallic ink. Non-woven backings make future changes easier because they can usually be peeled off dry when it is time for a new look, without soaking the wall.
If you are torn between two or three options, we are glad to give an honest opinion on how each will behave on your particular walls, in your particular room.
A tidy finish
We protect flooring, remove and replace cover plates, trim cleanly at trim and ceiling lines, and wipe down each strip as we go when the paper allows it. Scraps leave with us. Leftover full rolls stay with you, labeled by room, for future repairs. Homeowners in Doral, West Miami, Medley, Opa-locka and Miami can book the same service.
