The short answer
We install wallpaper murals and custom photo walls in Miramar homes, measuring before you order and aligning every panel so the picture reads as one. Most single-wall murals take one day, including wall prep and cleanup.
A mural can turn the tall, open walls of a Miramar home into something you actually look at. Forest scenes, abstract washes of color, vintage travel prints, sky ceilings for a nursery: the options are nearly endless, and printing has become sharp enough that a well-hung mural looks painted on. The hard part is getting a dozen panels to come together as one image. Our crew comes up from Hialeah, roughly 7 miles to the south, to install murals in homes across 33023, 33025, 33027 and 33029. This page walks through planning, the materials we see most, and the steps that keep a mural seamless.
Planning a mural for a big wall
Newer Miramar homes often have great rooms with ceilings well above standard height and wide walls between windows. A mural scaled for an average wall can look stamped onto such a space. We help you size the image so its key elements sit where people will actually see them: above the sofa back, below the ceiling fan, clear of the thermostat.
We also think about viewing distance. A photographic mural with fine detail rewards someone standing close; a soft abstract works better on a wall seen from across the kitchen. If the mural spans a staircase, the image needs to make sense from the bottom step and the landing.
A practical ordering checklist
Custom murals are printed to your measurements, so the numbers have to be right the first time. We measure your wall before you place the order and send you figures you can give directly to the printer.
- Exact wall width and height at several points
- Extra image on every edge for trimming
- Locations of switches, vents, doors and windows
- Preferred material: non-woven, vinyl or prepasted
- Panel count and panel width from the seller
- Delivery timing so panels can acclimate indoors
Hanging panel by panel
When the box arrives, we open it, lay every panel on the floor and confirm the sequence. Mistakes in printing or missing panels need to be caught at this stage. We then let the panels sit in the air-conditioned room so they reach the same temperature and humidity as the wall.
The wall is cleaned, patched, sanded and primed. We mark a plumb line for the first panel based on where the image needs to fall, not simply on the corner of the room. Each following panel is matched against the last. On non-woven murals we paste the wall; on traditional papers we paste the back and book the panel. Every seam is checked from a distance before the paste sets.
Choosing an image that ages well
A mural dominates a room in a way a repeating pattern never does, so it pays to pick an image you will still enjoy in a few years. Softer subjects such as misty landscapes, painterly florals, faded maps and tonal abstracts tend to sit comfortably alongside changing furniture. Highly specific themes are great for a playroom or a game room, where a refresh is expected anyway.
Resolution matters for custom photo murals. A picture that looks crisp on a phone can turn soft and blocky when enlarged across an entire wall. Reputable printers will check your file and warn you if it is too small. Lighting is the other factor: a mural on a wall grazed by afternoon sun from a sliding door will show any surface flaw, which is one more reason we take prep seriously in bright Miramar rooms.
Murals in kids' rooms and nurseries
Children's rooms are some of our most common mural projects in Broward County. Families want something playful that can be swapped out in a few years without major wall repairs. Non-woven murals are well suited because they usually peel off dry. We recommend scrubbable finishes for lower walls where crayons and hands reach, and we keep an eye on outlet placement so cover plates sit neatly on top of the image.
Climate notes for Miramar
South Florida stays humid much of the year, and summer thunderstorms bring sudden spikes indoors. Murals are hung with a lot of adhesive across a large area, so even curing matters. We ask clients to keep the AC running steadily and to avoid opening garage doors into the house more than necessary for a day or two. During hurricane season, from June 1 to November 30, we keep scheduling flexible and will reschedule if a storm threatens power.
Our team also installs murals for homeowners in Miami Lakes, Hialeah Gardens, Miami Gardens, Opa-locka and Medley.
